Lisa Tarantino

Principal Associate, Abt Associates, Lisa provides technical and managerial leadership to health governance, health finance and private sector development programs. Lisa is committed to fostering women’s leadership in development. She mentors international development students at Johns Hopkins’ School of Advanced International Studies and is an Adjunct Associate Professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). Lisa holds a Master of International Affairs from SIPA and speaks Russian.

CEO, Vitas Group, Elissa runs the largest group of small business lenders in the Middle East, overseeing six companies and over 1300 local staff. She has served the last ten years as an adjunct professor at SAIS and holds a Masters from Georgetown University.

She graduated from law school over 28 years ago and subsequently earned a Master of Laws degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Her strong business acumen and marketplace knowledge has enabled her to successfully negotiate and finalize high level multi-party contracts with senior executives.

She leads Plan International USA, an INGO focused on children’s rights and gender equality in more than 70 countries across Africa, Asia, and the Americas.

Vivian Riefberg

Vivian Riefberg

Senior Partner, McKinsey & Company, Vivian has led strategy, organization and performance improvement programs across private, public and non-profit institutions. Vivian is a frequent speaker and author on government productivity, improving US healthcare and the economic impact of gender parity. Vivian’s board service includes the board of the Public Broadcasting System (PBS), the Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA) and Generation USA, a non-profit focused on skills-based training and employment. As a Dean’s Fellow at UVA’s Darden School of Business Vivian teaches in the MBA programs. She has a B.A., magna cum laude from Harvard-Radcliffe College and a M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School.

Vice President, MSI, prior to her career in international development, she was appointed by Governor Tom Ridge (R-PA) to serve in his Administration, serving as the youngest female Director of Communications in state history.
Ellen has been a champion of female leadership, from promoting and mentoring young women in the Balkans where she ran a democracy NGO, to training government officials and women political activists/candidates in Serbia, Indonesia, Jordan, Croatia, Timor-Leste and Libya.

Founder and President, KAUR Strategies, Indira is an executive, advisor and coach with 25 years of experience in management consulting with an emphasis on promoting the application of equality. In 2002, Indira established dTS to inculcate equality, accountability, and sustainability in development. In 2015, Indira sold dTS and founded KAUR Strategies in 2017 to provide expert advisory services.
